1.0.16 — a photo is answered once

Photos barely sent. A device wanting a picture asks for its chunks on every sync cycle — every two seconds while somebody is looking — and the holder answered every copy of the ask it collected with a full eight-megabyte answer into the same mailbox. The mailbox on the relay has a quota; it filled within a cycle, every answer was cut short with “quota exceeded”, and the asking device drained eight megabytes of mostly duplicate chunks per cycle. Read from the owner’s Mac: two devices asking for 58 and 29 chunks, held for half an hour.

Now the holder keeps a book: a chunk put into a mailbox is not put there again for three minutes — long enough for a phone in the background to collect it, short enough that a lost answer is repaired by the next ask after the window. Each asking device gets its own copy.

The Doorbell rows read as words, not as {parked} and {pong}: the diagnostics panel’s templates were never filled in.
